A Community for Parents Living After Child Loss
Maybe you prayed for healing. Maybe you begged God for a different outcome. Maybe you believed with everything in you that the miracle would happen, and it didn't happen the way you prayed it would.
And somehow, you're still here.
Still Here can hold so many meanings at once. My child isn't here, but I am. My grief is still here. My love is still here. My questions are still here. Maybe my anger is still here. And even when I can't feel Him, God is still here.
For some of us, one of the hardest parts of losing a child is trying to understand how to keep believing in a God we prayed so desperately to. We asked Him to heal. We asked Him to intervene. We asked for more time. We believed He could change the outcome, and then the outcome wasn't the one we begged Him for. That can leave us holding grief alongside anger, disappointment, confusion, and questions we may even be afraid to say out loud.
Still Here is a Christ-centered community, but you don't have to arrive with your faith neatly put together.
You can love God and be angry with Him. You can believe and still have questions. You can trust God and still wrestle with why His will didn't look anything like what you desperately wanted. You can even come unsure of what you believe anymore.
This isn't a place for Christian clichés or easy answers. There is no pressure to move on, find the silver lining, explain why this happened, or turn your child's death into a lesson. You don't need to know the right Christian words to say, and you don't have to pretend you're okay when you're not.
Instead, we make room for grief, love, questions, faith, and community. We make room for honest conversations about loss and the complicated relationship grief can sometimes create with God. Together, we gently explore what it means to keep living when part of you died too, to keep loving a child who is no longer physically here, to ask hard questions without shame, and to begin discovering where God might be in a story that did not unfold the way we prayed it would.
Most importantly, this is a place where your child can still be spoken about, remembered, and loved. You don't have to protect anyone else from your grief here. You don't have to make your story more comfortable for someone else, and you don't have to carry it alone.
Maybe Still Here eventually becomes something you can say differently.
My child's love is still here. Their story is still here. I am still here. Hope may still be here. And somehow, even in the questions, the anger, the heartbreak, and the things I still don't understand, God is still here too.
Your child is still loved. Your story still matters. You are still here. And even when you cannot feel Him, God is still here.
